My Xbox 360 wont connect to the tv?

I have one of the newer ones, the black one, and it played fine 2 days ago, I have not done anything with the system since then, like as in moved it, unplugged it, even turned it on or anything. Its been in the same spot in my entertainment center and as far as I know, all variables have remained consistent. Now today it will turn on and open the CD tray, but nothing will ever get to the TV, it never displays anything of the xbox.. I'v already tried all the basic troubleshooting stuff like check the cables, the TV is on the right input source, the system has power and the controllers have fresh batteries and stuff like that. One other thing is that when I push the Xbox button in the middle of the controller, the system will turn on but the light on the controller will continue to flash and never designate as controller 1, 2, 3...etc. I wonder if this hints toward a problem with the system startup?
