What are some good excuses to leave basketball practice with a friend?

Okay so my basketball team has practice from 6-8 p.m. and me and my friend were gunna have a sleepover that nite. I need a good excuse to leave practice 30-35 minutes early. And also he offers to pick anybody up or drop them off if they need a ride. i was thinking of saying i dont have a ride so they are going to take me but he always offers a ride. My coach is super strict and like really into basketball and stuff with all the plays and stuff so i am worried on what i am going to say. we are leaveing early cuz she has a softball game at 8 so shes gotta be there early. idk if i left out any important information but please!! try to help me!! ASAP

Relationships and Religion! The Two R's! Help !?!?

Break up immediately! Marrying someone who does not have the same religious belief as you is a major NO NO. Although you may not be so observant in your religion and nor may he, it is still very bad to mix the two. PLEASE! For the sake of your relationship and your future relationships, find a nice man who is within your same religious beliefs. Although it may be hard now, you are saving much pain in suffering that will occur in the future.

How can I stop thinking about drugs, sex, etc?

I just started going to Public school and I am now in the 7th grade. I used to go to a Catholic school where they had very strict rules and always made it very clear to say no to drugs and things like that. Ever since I came to Public school many kids do drugs and have sex. I think about the "what ifs". What if this does happen to me? I think about what would happen and about my future. Lately, this has become a big issue and I want to know how to stop thinking about and how to refuse it if someone ever asks me to. Can someone help?

Tower of babel or tower of babylon?

me and a friend were arguing about the tower of Babylon. are the tower of babel and tower of Babylon the same thing or different? also what were they because we also had different ideas on that to,i thought that in religious belief, man tried to create a tower to heaven and they were punished by god by changing the color of their skin which was the start of racism. is that correct?

How could God get anyone to magically speak another language?

And when I was young I was taught that people built a big ship, bigger than ever before, and said "this ship is unsinkable!" So, on it's maiden voyage, guess what god did? Yep, he sank it! Just to demonstrate that men shouldn't put themselves above god. Right, the Titanic! I was actually taught that in my catechism class, when I was very young, and until the age of about 14, when I discovered a love for reading, I firmly believed the story, and thought it was a Biblical one, right there with David & Goliath and Samson and Delilah. That, as we know, is about as true as the Tower of Babel story!

Is this a good plan for sneaking out tomorrow night?

There is no amount of good grades and good behavior that you can display to make it "okay" to lie to your mother or sneak out to a party. Your mother is protective for a reason, you are still a kid. Even if you don't plan to drink or do drugs, there may be many other people there who are doing those things. People under the influence of drugs and alcohol could hurt you or rape you.
