Could a white person attend a black school during the pre-civil rights era?

I don't think the Black people would have cared if a white person used a "colored" water fountain but the law did. Black schools never denied admission to whites as far as I know. @VEM86, there have been HBCU's operating for more than 150 years, over 100, including colleges, universities and professional schools. Howard University, Morehouse, Fisk University, Spelman College,...... Meharry Medical and Dental School and Howard Univ. Medical and Dental School produced this country's Black doctors and lawyers for generations when they were not admitted to white schools.
