Why do atheist willingly ignore the secular and sacred history of ancient civilizations who told us...?

about a world flood, a tower of babel being struck down while the languages were confounded by a power from above, the thousands of children of Israel going out of Egypt by a mighty hand and were cared for in a hot desert for 40 years before they conquered the land of Canaan, besides others? And yet claim to be wise relying on their hypothetical views such as evolution?
