Firstly, what studio do you attend that won't allow a black hair net on dark hair? I've attended and taught at some pretty strict schools...including Alvin Ailey American Dance Center and Dance Theatre of Harlem, and I've never heard anything like that. Anyway, the first question is what kind of hair do you have? Curly hair and straight hair behave very differently. If you have hair that is naturally straight, or has a loose curl, I would try wetting your hair just a little around the front/crown area, and applying a little mouse or gel to the palm of your hand, rub hands together then smooth the hair back away from the face and up from the neck. Then, using a GOOD brush with bristles, brush and brush until every hair is smooth. Then put it into a ponytail...at DTH we use the ear as a guide. Your ponytail should extend up on a diagonal from the ear. Once its in a good tight ponytail, I would braid your hair into a nice neat braid...if its long enough. This will keep any little "fly aways" from jumping out of your bun. Put a small rubber band on the end of the braid to keep it from unraveling. Then break out the bobby pins! Not hair pins...bobby pins. Begin to wrap the braid around the ponytail holder, but the trick is to pin as you wrap. Wrap it a little, put a couple of pins, wrap it a little more, add more pins, until you've created a nice tight bun. Then, I would finish with a net. Speak to the director of your school...I'm sure they'll allow you to use dark brown or black for class even if it doesn't match perfectly. If you're a real stickler, you could always buy white and dye it, but that seems like a waste of time, energy and money. You should be focusing on training, not the exact color of your hair net. If you're in uniform everywhere else, I'm sure it won't be a problem. You could even wear a scarf or bandana for 15 or 20 minutes before class while you pack your dance bag and get ready for class. That way, the scarf will be laying the hair flat while the gel or mouse has a chance to set. You'll figure it out...sometimes its just trial and error. Now, if you have naturally curly hair...I mean very curly like natural african- american hair, you may need to use a different approach. If this is you, add that to your question and I'll be glad to help! Otherwise, good luck...just sit down and practice in front of the mirror. You'll get it!

How to fix Hard Drive Critical Error?

My dell laptop started acting up a few days ago. The background went completely black and all of my shortcuts on the desktop disappeared except for outlook. The computer keeps restarting on its own and a spyware device that I did not download appeared on my screen and did its own scan. From what I've googled, this is not an actual error but a virus, but I do not know how to get it off my computer. All of my files appear to still be on the computer if I search for them, but do not appear in their designated folders. (I.e. my documents is blank, but I can search for a specific word document and find it). Any idea how to fix this and more importantly, how to fix this without jeopardizing my files?

Underground rap lyrics aren't too hard to write, most people have been writing since adolescence. So I guess the underground rap lyrics is what can complicate the situation. You def have a good vocab but you need to focus on continuity and overall sense. You don't go for common words which I can appreciate but that doesn't always translate into good diction. Underground as a genre does not denote complexity, but denotes the music is overlooked by the public eye. I feel as if you are aiming for some misconceived notion (that underground rap has to be complex/near impossible to understand) and that may hinder your ability to efficiently convey a message through music.

My Xbox 360 wont connect to the tv?

I have one of the newer ones, the black one, and it played fine 2 days ago, I have not done anything with the system since then, like as in moved it, unplugged it, even turned it on or anything. Its been in the same spot in my entertainment center and as far as I know, all variables have remained consistent. Now today it will turn on and open the CD tray, but nothing will ever get to the TV, it never displays anything of the xbox.. I'v already tried all the basic troubleshooting stuff like check the cables, the TV is on the right input source, the system has power and the controllers have fresh batteries and stuff like that. One other thing is that when I push the Xbox button in the middle of the controller, the system will turn on but the light on the controller will continue to flash and never designate as controller 1, 2, 3...etc. I wonder if this hints toward a problem with the system startup?

K, I'm not a homophobe. Seems like the gay marriage issue has been in the news a lot more in the past few years. I have a strict policy with myself that I do not take a stand on any political or social issue until I feel like I understand it. I won't accept the Lady Gaga answer of "I was born this way", if homosexuals are born this way, why? Maybe some are born with it, and maybe others develop it later in life, I don't know, I'm completely in the blank on the issue. Honestly, I doubt there is anybody who really understands what it is. The thing that confuses me about homosexuality is its place in the world from an evolutionary perspective. I know homosexuality has been observed in several species, but if a species adapts over time to increase its likelihood of reproducing (some of those adaptations being quite subtle) why would so many individuals outright reject reproduction altogether, and mate with the same sex? Isn't that counterproductive to the biological purpose of life? I'm not trying to argue against homosexuality, I'm just writing down my thoughts and hoping someone can enlighten me. WHY DID GOD DO THIS TO ME?

Which breed of puppy shall i get?

Have your considered a shetland sheepdog? They do have longer coat, but don't require trips to the groomer- only regular brushing. I have a 12 year old sheltie whom I have had since he was a baby. They are high energy dogs and need a place to run- which it sounds like you have. They are very people oriented and cuddly. My oldest child was 4 when we got the sheltie and I had two more babies after that. He loves kids- was great when all the kids were babies. My oldest daugher is still his best friend. They are considered one of the 5 smartest breeds on the Cohen scale of dog intellegence and ours was a breeze to housebreak and easy to teach commands. They are a very pretty dog-at least I think so- and ours is 22 pounds-not too big and not too small. He has always been very healthy and at 12 years old is still energetic- a tad slow when he first gets up and stretches- and then he is off and runnning. Plays with our golden retriever, jumps over the cats, runs around with the kids. He is very nice with other animals, likes the cats. Does bark a little at strangers come up to the house but would never bite anything or anyone. Warms up to new people pretty quickly. He is sensitive- when any of the kids cry, he rushes over to them and sits beside them and licks their tearful faces, then just parks himself next to them until the feel better. He has had a lot of too tight hugging, pushing and pulling as the kids grew and never once did he nip or act up with a child.

I did not consume this substance, but it was left in my car. I'm going to the courthouse to sign this diversion which, from what I understand, will ultimately expunge this charge from my record if I stay out of trouble for the next year from when I was arrested. Also, I have been charged with battery and assault because I was a bystander at a fight that I did not have any control over. I am an international student and I enrolled in a course to improve my English. Today I had my first lesson with him and I really really don't like him! My dad VS My dad's friend?

Okay so my dad, well, he drinks. He isn't abusive. He's genuinely a good guy, but I hate that he drinks. He's constantly getting drunk and it's embarrassing. I'm 14 now and frankly, I'm sick of it. I mean most of his friends drink, but it's to an extent. I've tried to tell him how i feel and how he is really damaging his health because he's also a heavy smoker. He's always looking out for me and tries to include me in as much as he can. We do almost everything together. He brings his kid with my dad and me and we just.... live. I can act as childish as i want and laugh as much as I want without having to worry. However, I feel like this is the way i should feel with my dad. Soon to be a Junior, only have 80 credits completed?

I bombed Freshman year, didn't do homework thus failing all tests, etc. Anyways, I did much better this year, I still failed math both semesters. I finished Sophomore year with only 80 credits. I was told summer school would only accept 250 students and Junior's and Senior's are top priority. Apparently, that must've been bull**** considering I know about 5 Sophomores that are going atm. They had an online credit recovery thing, so I took the class for math but it was awful and I didn't like it at all, you had to have x number of minutes every week and if you didn't you'd be dropped, at the end there was about 10 people left from a 30 person class and I got dropped also. Now next year I'm doing 70 credits, same with Senior Year leaving me with about 220 credits (if I don't fail anything) I think you need 230 credits to graduate, so I would have to take Summer School either Junior Year or Senior Year or maybe both. Am I in big trouble? I've changed my whole attitude since Freshman Year I do most of/all of my homework but I usually do pretty bad on tests...I don't study though. My whole schedule switched 2nd semester when I switched out of my French class, so I got a new Algebra 1 teacher (Yes I suck at math) which was strict, extremely boring, and his tests weren't fully multiple choice ever. The 2nd day I was in the class, I had a 50% already since I failed the first test he gave. I would do my homework always, but still fail the tests until I had like a 35% which then I stopped doing homework the last month or two because there's no point in wasting time on it when there's no way I can get it up...anyways Thanks

So my boyfriend and I are going to go to Planned Parenthood so I can get birth control pills. We have always used Spermicidal Condoms during sex but I want to be even safer. K, I'm not a homophobe. Seems like the gay marriage issue has been in the news a lot more in the past few years. I have a strict policy with myself that I do not take a stand on any political or social issue until I feel like I understand it. I won't accept the Lady Gaga answer of "I was born this way", if homosexuals are born this way, why? Maybe some are born with it, and maybe others develop it later in life, I don't know, I'm completely in the blank on the issue. Honestly, I doubt there is anybody who really understands what it is. The thing that confuses me about homosexuality is its place in the world from an evolutionary perspective. I know homosexuality has been observed in several species, but if a species adapts over time to increase its likelihood of reproducing (some of those adaptations being quite subtle) why would so many individuals outright reject reproduction altogether, and mate with the same sex? Isn't that counterproductive to the biological purpose of life? I'm not trying to argue against homosexuality, I'm just writing down my thoughts and hoping someone can enlighten me. I know it is frowned upon to suggest that homosexuality could be a disorder, but if it is natural, as the gay rights groups suggest, what is its evolutionary role?

Dropped kerb is denying us parking?

There is a small gated garage backing out into our cud de sac. The owner of it lives in the street before ours, the garage is at the far end of his back garden facing onto our street. They suddenly started blocking off the area in front of it with bollards and fencing or parked their car in front of it to stop us parking there and 2 days later had a dropped kerb installed and as far as we know without permission. I have lived here for 7 years and their garage or shed has only ever been used for storage and a car has never been parked in it. At the front of his home one street down he has a driveway where he can park his car and does not need to park it in our residents parking. Basically it seems he can instal a dropped kerb and park his car in front of it for as long and as often as he wants and when he moves his car we are at risk of having our cars ticketed or towed for blocking his access if we park there. Whenever he has moved items in and out of this garage/storage area his gates open up over the pavement and block pedestrians from walking on it. Our street is a small cul de sac with 55 residents and has around 20 parking bays, three of the parking bays are designated for disabled drivers and as far as we have been told all parking is on a first come first served basis yet he can claim this space as his own whenever he feels like it and park there as often and for as long as he likes because he is not going to get himself ticketed. If he decided to rent his garage out to generate income would that be accepted? Do we as residents have any rights here?

I live in a area with a high mormon population and have became close with two. Lacey is extremely modest.. I don't know why but for a long while now I just don't feel like leaving my room because leaving my room means dealing with my dad. I am not an atheist, and even if i were one, i would not claim it because i find most atheist to be ignorant. I was born into a christian family, but my faith has been dwindling ever since. Before I tell my problem here is a little about me so you'll understand. I'm 14 years old. I just finished my first year in high school. I'm 5 feet and 1 inch. I also am 119 lbs. I always try to be like someone else especially my sister. It seems like everyone likes her better than me. I'm afraid to be myself. I think it's because i'm worried about what people think.
